Perfect for beginner's like me but the one brush for all can be a pain
Rating:
4 / 5
4 / 5
Pros: great for beginner's, informative and useful
Cons: only one brush
This set was my introduction to bareMinerals (never looked back since) and I love it still. The case is super useful and I use it everyday for all of my bareMinerals goodies.
The bronzer was really scary to use, at first but I was pleased to be given a small amount to practice with. Having both the matte and the original foundation was really useful to see how your face looks with either one (I use a combination of both now) and I can't fault the mineral veil at all.
My one qualm with this set is you only get the one brush for all of these powders. Would have been nice to get a smaller brush for the bronzer of mineral veil.

My Favourite Powder. Ever.

Pros: evens the skin perfectly
I adore this powder. As soon as I start applying it I can see a difference. Blemishes disappear, my skintone evens and it even hides my pores near my cheekbones which is a godsend. I never have to use too much and the container is super easy to use and ensures you use the same amount each time.
If you're going to get anything from bareMinerals, get this.

Lasts for hours but put aside time to put it on
Rating:
4 / 5
4 / 5
Pros: lasts for hours, useful base shade
Cons: difficult to apply
I really like this eyeshadow primer. It makes any shade(s) you put on last for hours and the shade I chose made for a very natural and easy to use base.
However it's in a liquid form, hence the primer element to it and comes out of a little tube and it can sometimes take a while to get out of the tube and on the brush correctly. Also it can be much darker than you realise.

My Favourite Eyeshadow Palette

Pros: tells you what to put where, quality shades
I'm a complete newbie when it comes to eyeshadow, so this little compact is amazing. I had 'The Soundtrack' as my skin is slightly olive in colour and it's great.
The little mirror is super useful and all of the shades are completely usable and in combinations not included.
The guide for a 'day' look and a 'night' look is really useful too.

Lovely Mascara That Coats Nicely
Rating:
5 / 5
5 / 5
Pros: definitelyadds volume without clumping
Cons: bristles can be a little short
I always know when I use this mascara that my eyes are going to look great. They're instantly lifted and look multiplied from the first coat which is great for me since I usually put makeup on just before I go out.
I'd recommend it to anyone, however for lower lashes and the inner corner of the eye I would use a brush with longer bristles.
bareMinerals eyeshadow primer works really well with this mascara too.

I usually use Fairly Light but since moving to Australia I'm slightly more tanned - what would be the next shade darker?
Unfortunately I can't find anywhere in Melbourne to go and try a different shade darker than my existing Fairly Light, but I'm keen to re-order as I love the Bare Minerals range and find it really suits my skin!
I've been using Fairy Light too, but when I came back from holiday I moved to just Light as my skin keeps its tint (slightly olive-coloured) once it tans but this might be different for you. If you go a little red once you've tanned you might want to try fairy medium.

How long can I keep my loose foundation?
I've had the same loose foundation for about 2 years (I don't use it often, but love it!) How long will it keep and will it have the same effect after this length of time?
Powders last for a long time, since it's dried and in a airtight container when not in use. I feel like two years might be pushing it a bit though as every time you open and use it the powder will stick to itself that little bit more.

cover the bags? what can i use?
I use foundation to cover the bags at the moment , but because I have to put a lot, it tends to "crinkle" and make me look old - am i not moisturizing enough or what should i use? and i apply it with the small brush (full coverage).
I'm currently using Stroke of Light™ Eye Brightener (out of stock at the time of this review, sorry). It has tiny bits of glitter in it (and I do mean tiny) that also lightens the area as well as conceals it.
